Unmatched Efficiency

The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is a non-profit organization that administers the only uniform, independent rating and labeling system for the energy performance of windows, doors, and skylights. The NFRC rates most windows on the market with a U-Value rating. The U-Value is a measure of heat loss through a window; therefore a lower U-value means better insulation performance. The Gilkey G.10 window system (G.10) has a far lower U-Value than the 0.23 recommended by the NFRC. With a 0.19 U-Value, The G.10 is one of the most energy efficient window systems available from any window manufacturer.

The G.10 offers performance comparable to an insulated wall. Made by adding a third pane of glass to create a triple pane unit, the two cavities of the window are filled with krypton gas to create superior thermal efficiency. Performance and quality carry through to the construction of the frame. A multi-chamber honeycomb design frame with 12-point fusion-welded corners provide superior insulation and strength.

Most homes lose energy during the winter and summer months due to drafts created by their old, poorly constructed windows. The G.10 can increase your home's efficiency, allowing you to turn down your thermostat and enjoy a comfortable home in the winter. In the summer, The G.10 can reduce your heat gain by over 50%, compared with a double pane window. Considering the money you'll save on energy bills, the G.10 pays for itself in just a few short years.
