Superior Right From the Start

• Gilkey windows are made from an exclusive, 100% virgin uPVC powder compound that is entirely lead-free. This special compound gives the system better resistance to impact and discoloration.  Our proprietary blend has more Titanium Dioxide and Organic Tin than industry minimum to assure colorfastness and UV protection.
• Gilkey windows are maintenance-free and will not crack, blister or warp.

The Intercept^TM Warm-Edge Spacer System

• Features a unique, one-piece metal alloy, U-channel design that creates an effective thermal barrier to help reduce conducted heat loss through the window. Its sealed, one-piece design makes it stronger and better at retaining insulating gas.
• Under normal weather conditions, I.G. units expand and contract with temperature changes.  In conventional insulating glass units, the sealant (the material that holds the unit together) takes the stress of the flexing.  This can cause seal failure and insulating gas loss.  In an Intercept I.G. unit, the spacer flexes instead of the sealant, so it resists spacer movement and premature sealant failure.

Fusion-Welded Corners

• Fusion welding provides a more attractive appearance and eliminates the need for adhesives and sealants. There are no imperfections on the completely watertight and airtight surface.
• Internal walls are also welded for increased overall structural strength.

The Magic of Multichambers

• Gilkey multichamber profiles have more chambers than any competing product. Transition from hot to cold inside the structure is gradual. The system provides superior thermal insulation and the frame is deformation-proof.
• The multiple air chambers provide excellent sound abatement.

Rugged Glazing Bead

• The glazing bead is designed to withstand extreme conditions such as winds of 225 mph. Located inside, the glazing bead provides greater security and facilitates any glazing replacement.
