Congratulations on making a wise investment for your home! You will appreciate the added comfort and fuel savings. Please take a moment to review the following information. The care and maintenance of your new window is as easy as one-two-three!
OPERATION:
To open, simply disengage the lock (A) by pushing on the thumb-lever. When disengaged, the sash (B) will be free to slide
MAINTENANCE:
- All Windows are virtually maintenance-free
- Glass can be cleaned with household glass cleaners in the normal fashion. Vinyl components can be easily cleaned with a nonabrasive household cleaner or soap and water.
- Painting is not required.
- Lubrication is not required. All moving parts are self-lubricating.
CLEANING:
- To remove sashes for cleaning: Disengage lock (A) and slide sash toward the center of the window a minimum of 6".
- With two hands, push the tilt latch buttons (B) toward the bottom of the window and pull the sash toward you. DO NOT LET GO OF THE SASH. The sash can now be completely removed from the frame for cleaning. The same process is repeated for the outside sash after releasing tilt latch button (C) from sill cover. NOTE: SLIDER WINDOW SASHES ARE REMOVABLE, THEY DO NOT PIVOT IN ANY WAY.
- When cleaning is complete, replace sashes, beginning with the outside sash, by inserting the bottom of the sash into the bottom of the frame, With slight pressure, push the top of the sash into the frame. The sash will snap into place. Make sure the tilt catches are securely engaged. Slide the outside sash all the way into the frame until tilt latch (C) engages with the opening in the sill cover (D). Repeat this process for the inside sash. NOTE: There is no hole in the inside sill cover to engage the inside sash.
