Warranty
|
Gilkey Window Company warrants to the original purchaser that the product will be free of defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the home.Extrusions All vinyl extrusions will be warranted against chipping, cracking, peeling, blistering, warping or sagging. Hardware All balances, rollers, locks, keepers and hardware will be warranted to operate properly and serve design functions. Glass All glass units will be warranted against breakage due to manufacturing defects or accidental glass breakage. All glass units will be warranted against seal failure, resulting in film or condensation forming on the internal glass surface. Heat Mirror® All Heat Mirror® insulated glass units will be warranted against film failure (i.e. wrinkling, discoloration, sagging) and seal failure for the full term of the warranty. Installation Installation by Gilkey Windows is covered for the full term of this warranty (excluding silicone caulk and exterior trim finish). Screens Screen frames are covered for the full term of the warranty. Screen fabric, under normal use, is covered for twenty (20) years. Rescreening is provided free of charge at any Gilkey location. Transferability Upon transfer to a subsequent purchaser, this warranty shall expire after a period of twenty (20) years from the date of the original installation. Service Calls Service calls will be free of charge for a period of five (5) years from the original installation date. There will be a nominal trip charge for the remainder of this warranty. Warranty Exceptions This warranty is not applicable with regard to any Gilkey window damaged due to vandalism, acts of God, fire, flood, riot, war, abuse, neglect or misuse. |
